I live for the moment now

Two years have already passed since my last (sad and little bit angry) post. 

Many things have changed. First, my dear Mando Diao fans, Mando Diao no longer exists. But "livet går vidare", life continues.

I lived in Sweden. I had the best days of my life. All that thanks to me, my beloved partner in crime and least but not last thanks to Mando Diao, Sugarplum Fairy and Johnossi and all lovely musicians from Sweden I happened to meet during that crazy ride. 

Sometimes I google Ode to Mando Diao and just for fun look at the old post, read through this "craziness", through these insane years. I felt that reading the lines "I hate Mando Diao!" as the first post on this blog I spent so many years with would be unfair and stupid. So I felt this urge to write another post (and maybe even more, who knows). 

Because I had the time of my life. 

I remember how I walked through the Slussen tunnel, in my hands holding the new signed vinyl from The Royal Concept, heading towards Johnossi show in Radiohuset. I knew that moment "This is it! This is my life, now and here!" and I own this to Mando as well. That very moment. So I can´t hate them. I still love them. 

I remember all of you, my dearest Mando.com friends. How we sometimes continued to be friends even without Mando and how we sometimes not. 

So I sort of ends here. Some of you still have the new Mando with Björn, some might love the new Gustaf, State of Sound, Carl´s songs on Soundcloud and hey, there is new Johnossi album coming!

Shall we all meet at their roof concert in spring?  

Who knows :-)  

And I am thinking what kind of song I should put here? Which song says it all?

...and if life is just a ride it should be fun

Some time ago I wrote to this blog one post about Mando Diao in the Czech Republic. I was so angry and I had no expectations regarding the upcoming show on the Open Air Panenský Týnec. Well, now I´m taking all that back. I made a mistake. But let´s take it from the very beginning, right? 

Mando Diao played three shows recently. In Switzerland, Czech Republic and in Hungary. I won´t talk about the first one. But I´ll tell you something about those two shows I´ve mentioned.
The second time in the Czech Republic. Mando Diao on the Open Air Panenský Týnec. And our Unit had to be there. The whole festival surprised me a lot. It had nice atmosphere, it was just a small event, but with lots of interesting bands. Especially with Mando Diao:) 

Before the show our Unit got the opportunity to meet the guys backstage. The meeting was... well...unforgetable. Carlos took us through VIP tents to the dark parking lot where we shared some moments with Gustaf, Björn, Mats, CJ, Patso and Daniel. We took photos, got some signs and memories that nobody takes away from us. Let´s watch some pictures... 

Guys signed our czech flag we used to take to some shows. We literally got them on their knees. Even without high heels.

We gave them some czech CDs and a movie as a present...

...and they seemed interested, especially in one particular CD...

Then the show began. And I just wanna say THANK YOU czech audience, you were wonderful! The whole crowd went crazy, singing all the songs. Gustaf sang part of You can´t steal my love in Swedish for us, then he cut the "ass kissing" for tonight. It was Stunning. Can´t say more. It was rare and it was unique. We all enjoyed it a lot. And I was proud that they liked it here and that this country liked them too.

Five years run by so fast

Today I went throught some of my Mando Diao stuff I had, old tickets from concerts, maps of the cities I´ve been to because of them, confirmations from different accomodations, Peace & Love maps, programmes, that bag in which I bought my Mtv Unplugged vinyl in Borlänge... all those feelings are still hidden inside that folder. It´s like the smell of that certain moment that survives on all those things.

It was awesome. Every single minute of that travelling in chase of one lovely dream. I loved it. And I hope there are still left some more adventures called "Mando Diao madness". Because it all worth it.
However I feel part of it is over now. That naive feeling is gone. Time for a change, I guess. For something new. It was Mando Diao that brought me here, everything what happened last two and half a year was because of them. Yeah, simply as that. But not now.
I´d love to keep this blog alive, because it conserves great part of my life, all that makes sense. Nevertheless I´m affraid I won´t have so much time in upcoming.... life. I will try to do my best. Because Mando Diao is love of my life. Always will be. No matter how Caligola they are now and how much I hate it.
If there are still some readers of my blog I just wanna say THANK YOU! Thanks for reading and writing me awesome messages. Now it´s not only Mando Diao that makes me write posts here, but especially YOU all. Thank you again!

Why so sad? Don´t you like my way of life?

I have to admit I had a little crisis concerning Mando Diao, like in every relationship sometimes happens... so today I accidentally take Mtv Unplugged CD and put it into my CD player. The magic still works. It´s hidden inside, every time you start playing that CD, the magic is liberated. Free to enchant you over and over again. And then I watched this video of God Knows and I couldn´t resist to smile and maybe even cry a little bit when I saw us, dancing, being that fucking happy like seldom before.
So here it goes. Two words baby, two words. Mando Diao.

All my senses seem to be in this song

This video is pretty cool. All My Senses from Berlin, 2nd June 2011. The best concert I´ve ever experienced. Hope this guys are still somewhere, hidden behind those black capes and that they will show this passion and energy and love again, soon.

Smíšené pocity ohledně vystoupení Mando u nás. Hodně smíšené. Konečně. A zároveň... možná trochu pozdě. Nebo snad raději vůbec? No nakonec jsme to dokázali, pokud jsme s tím vůbec měli něco společného. A je to fajn. Vlastně je to fajn. Snad to bude stát za to. Mando Diao u nás.

Jestli chcete slyšet celý rozhovor ve Švédštině, tady je! 

Björn a Mats mluví o minulém roce, o nejlepším koncertě v Berlíně a o Best of albu, které se rozhodli udělat, protože EMI si myslelo, že by to byl dobrý nápad:) Oni sami by si Greatest hits vydat netroufli, maximálně za 20 let.
Dále mluví například o vánočním kalendáři, ve kterém každý den odhalují novou píseň, demo, staré věci na které sami zapomněli.

A to nejdůležitější z celého rozhovoru je zmínka o České Republice. "Neprodáváme tam tolik desek, ale když tam přijedeme, hrajeme na největším pódiu". Takže je načase, aby jste přijeli. ;-)
A mezitím naše malá mise dávat o sobě vědět pokračuje. Good job, Czech Special Unit. A dobrá práce s naší vlajkou na Peace&Love a v Mnichově.
