Rozhovor ze Švýcarského Zurichu z letošního roku pro časopis Trend. Gustaf  a Björn znovu o Unplugged, o Švýcarsku a o vášni.

Hello guys, how are you? 

B: Thanks, all is fine. 

G: We´re great. Now, if we could receive some chocolate too, it would be even better. (laughs)

Do you like Switzerland?

B: Yes, very much! It´s a wonderful country and we enjoy being here. I think people here are similar to Swedes.

G: We´ve already had so many shows in Switzerland and always enjoyed that.

Your Unplugged work sounds outstanding. Tell us more about it!

G: We wanted to do a show in the 70ies style like for example show of Johnny Cash or Elvis Costello. We also invited a couple of friends to play new, old and cover songs with us. We wanted to use this possibility to play an Mtv Unplugged to present the live side of ours. And we are very pround of that. 

Do you have a favourite song in the Mtv Unplugged - Above and Beyond setlist? 

B: I really like the new material that we have played.

What are the plans for Mando Diao for 2011?

G: We write new songs every day and always have new ideas. But we can´t say exactly yet if there will be a new studio album soon or not. 

Do you prefer playing concerts or writing songs?

B: I prefer writing new songs.

G: There is a lot of hard work behind making of a new album. Writing new songs is lots of fun. It´s magic moment when a song that previously didn´t exist, comes out.

What is the success recipe of Mando Diao? 

G: I think it´s passion because we do our work with so much passion.Of course here also belong other things like talent and so on but passion is most important for us. We believe in what we do. We don´t concentrate on trends or fashion but on melodies.

Your best concert? 

B: Mtv Unplugged. It was a fantastic concert and a fantastic feeling. (♥)

What do you like listening to?

G: I listen to lots of funk. I especially like James Brown and B.B. King.

B: I like hip-hop a lot. I listen to a lot of black music like Lil Wayne of Outcast. 

What´s your message for the Swiss fans? 

G: We are glad that we will see you soon again. We hope to meet you already today. If you see us at the bar, take your moment and join us. We´ll be glad!
